Uninstalled Lithium-ion batteries must only be in carry-on luggage on US airlines

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced that spare (uninstalled) lithium ion batteries, such as power banks, must be carried in carry-on luggage only. The FAA has a list of battery types allowed in airline passenger baggage at their website.
