Windows 10 support will be retired after Oct 14, 2025. Microsoft currently offers options for those users who wish to keep using Windows 10 instead of upgrading to Windows 11 at aka.ms/PrepareForWindows10EOS, including Windows 10 Extended Security Updates.
In June 2025, Microsoft announced additional enrollment options for Extended Security Updates for Windows 10 for individual users. An enrollment wizard will be available through notifications and in Settings with these options:
1. Use Windows Backup to sync your settings to the cloud (free option).
2. Redeem 1,000 Microsoft Rewards points (free option).
3. Pay $30 U.S. dollars (price may vary by location).
